Mrs Plaister, Fumiko Sekiyama

20.12.1933 – 14.6.2025
Fumiko died peacefully at Rosary Gardens, New Town, on Saturday, 14th June 2025.
Devoted wife of former Hobart Lord Mayer Douglas Plaister (dec), daughter of Takeo and Taka Sekiyama (both dec), loving sister, aunt, great aunt and friend to many.
Fumiko was a passionate advocate for Japanese culture, working tirelessly for her home city of Yaizu and Hobart’s sister city cause.
Many have been blessed by her presence in their lives.
May she rest in peace.
