Joe joined the Graham Family Funerals team in 2015 and is one of their dedicated Funeral Directors and Embalmers. After commencing with Graham Family Funerals, Joe studied the embalming course with Funeral Industry Development Australia. He qualified from that course in 2016 making him one of the youngest practising embalmers in Australia. Joe is a practising member of the Australian Institute of Embalming and also the British Institute of Embalming (Australasian Division).
“I believe it is what I was born to do and something that I am good at.
This is reflected in the positive and encouraging comments I receive
from the families that I care for. I feel truly humbled walking side
by side a family as they farewell their loved one”.
When Joe isn’t at work he enjoys spending time with his friends and family, bushwalking and flying. At just 16 Joe obtained his Recreational Pilots Licence after 2 years of training – before he could even drive a car! Joe also volunteers with Ambulance Tasmania working at several stations across the state.
Originally from the North, Joe often returns ‘home’ to visit and is a valuable asset to our Launceston Funeral Home, Finney Funeral Services, giving him valuable insight and knowledge of funeral care across the whole state.
